Dr. Hönle AG (ISIN: DE0005157101), Gräfelfing, Munich, a leading supplier of industrial UV technology acquires 70 % of the shares in PrintConcept GmbH, Koengen, near Stuttgart. PrintConcept GmbH’s earnings margins are similarly high as those of the Hönle Group. The company generates annual revenues of approximately € 3.5 million. PrintConcept develops, produces and markets UV drying systems for offset printing, in particular.

The Hönle Group will significantly increase its market share in the offset printing segment with this take-over. Moreover, synergy effects in development, production and marketing will result that will further strengthen the earnings power of the Hönle Group.

The purchase agreement stipulates acquisition of 70 % of PrintConcept GmbH as of 1 January 2008. The residual 30 % will be acquired in three stages at 10 % each at the beginning of the following years 2009, 2010 and 2011. Hönle expects annualised consolidated revenue of approximately € 45 million as a result of the PrintConcept acquisition.
