The operating result (EBIT) declined by 7.5 % to TEur 8,785 due to lower adhesives sales in the area of consumer electronics and one-off factors such as expenses incurred for the DRUPA trade fair and start-up losses for the newly founded SKC Panacol Ltd. in South Korea. The Hönle Group's pretax result contracted from TEur 9,161 to TEur 8,508 and the consolidated net income came to TEur 5,713 (PY: TEur 6,709). This corresponds to earnings per share of Eur 1.03 (PY: Eur 1.19).
Outlook
The Hönle Group expects sales revenues of some Eur 90 to 92 million and an operating result (EBIT) of app. Eur 12 to 13 million in financial year 2015/2016.
Outlook for financial year 2016/2017
The Glass & Lamps segment will probably see positive development in financial year 2016/2017 due, in particular, to earnings contributed by Raesch Quarz (Germany) GmbH. Following the successful completion of technical optimisation processes, Raesch Quarz (Germany) GmbH made positive earnings contributions in the third quarter of the year and thus ushered in a turnaround. While results in the financial year 2015/2016 will still be negative overall, clearly positive earnings contributions are expected for the coming financial year.
Sales and earnings are also expected to rise in the Adhesives segment. The significant expansion of the retailers network in Europe and current projects in the medical technology and consumer electronics segments will contribute to this growth.
The Hönle Group plays a leading role in the field of LED drying technology in digital- and sheet fed-offset printing. An increase in sales development is mainly predicted in this field of business in financial year 2016/2017. In addition, the Hönle Group will probably benefit from a modest upturn in the market for printing machines for package printing. Moreover, the relocation of a production site from Unterlüß near Celle to Dr. Hönle AG in Gräfelfing will lead to significant cost savings.
In all, the Management Board expects a significant increase in earnings in the financial year 2016/2017.
