Gilching (pta026/15.12.2022/14:00) - Prof. Dr. Karl Hönle, company founder and long-time chairman of the supervisory board of Dr. Hönle AG will resign from office at the next Annual General Meeting on March 23, 2023 and will be leaving the Supervisory Board at his own request. The supervisory board of Dr. Hönle AG decided at its last meeting, to nominate Dr. Franz Richter as a new candidate for election to the Supervisory Board. It is intended that Dr. Richter will take over the chairmanship of the supervisory board then.
The Supervisory Board would like to thank the outgoing Chairman of the Supervisory Board for his commitment and for his many years of work for the benefit of the company. Prof. Hönle played a key role in the development of the group of companies. Since the transformation of the Dr. Hönle GmbH into a stock corporation in 1999, he is a member of the supervisory board and has been its chairman since 2015. Prof. Hönle was one of the founders and first managing director of the predecessor company of today's Dr. Hönle AG. The Supervisory Board wishes Prof. Hönle all the best for the future.
The Supervisory Board is pleased to announce with Dr. Richter (67) to have won an internationally experienced manager and proven industry expert as a candidate for the supervisory board. Dr. Richter worked for many years at leading companies in the fields of semiconductors, photonics and optoelectronics, including Carl Zeiss AG and Süss Microtec SE. He worked for Süss Microtec for 19 years, 11 of which as CEO. Dr. Richter has many years of experience as a member of supervisory and administrative boards, amongst others at Siltronic AG or Comet AG. He has been a member of the Board of Directors at Meyer Burger Technology AG since 2015 and President of the Board since 2020.
