Gilching (pta046/25.04.2023/23:40) - The Supervisory Board of Dr. Hönle AG delegates Dr. Franz Richter, who currently holds the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Dr. Hönle AG, as the successor to the Chairman of the Management Board, Mr. Norbert Haimerl, who is resigning from his office by mutual agreement with effect from the end of April 30, 2023.

Since Mr. Haimerl is no longer available for the long-term implementation of a new corporate strategy, the Supervisory Board has decided to restructure the Management Board of Dr. Hönle AG. The new strategy is aimed at sustained strong business development and the return to high profitability of the Hönle Group.

The Supervisory Board has initiated the search for a CEO. Until the appointment of a new CEO, Dr. Richter fulfils this task, but until April 30, 2024 at the latest. During this time, his position on the Supervisory Board will be suspended and Mr. Niklas Friedrichsen will take over as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Dr. Hönle AG.

Dr. Richter is President of the Board of Directors of Meyer Burger Technology AG, Thun, Switzerland and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fraunhofer Institute IZM, Berlin. He has extensive experience in technical developments, including UV lithography, UV cleaning and silicone adhesive. Dr. Richter worked for many years at leading companies in the fields of semiconductors and optoelectronics, including Carl Zeiss AG and Süss Microtec SE. He worked for Süss Microtec for 19 years, 11 of which as CEO. He held various offices and honorary posts, e.g. as a member of the Supervisory Board of Siltronic AG, Munich and as a member of the Board of Directors of Comet Holding AG, Flamatt, Switzerland.

Mr. Friedrichsen, since 2022 member of the Supervisory Board of Dr. Hönle AG, has been managing the holding company of the Peter Möhrle family based in Hamburg as Spokesman for the Management Board since 2018. After completing his business studies and his training as a tax consultant, he held finance and corporate development positions of various companies in the mechanical engineering and service sectors. He also looks back on many years of experience in the commercial management and further development of family offices with a comparable investment focus.

Norbert Haimerl has been CFO since 2000 and CEO of Dr. Hönle AG since 2022. The Supervisory Board would like to thank Mr. Haimerl on behalf of the entire group for the many years of trusting cooperation and regrets that he will no longer be available for a further term of office. It also expresses its thanks for the successful development of the group, to which he has made a significant contribution over the past 20 years. The Supervisory Board wishes him all the best for the future.
